Insulting Tollywood Stars: What Did Jagan Gain?

Usually, the meetings of Tollywood Stars and Chief Ministers happen behind the walls and we rarely get to see what happened. But thanks to the ‘Will show your place’ attitude of Jagan Mohan Reddy, the meeting has been aired live the other day.

The videos of big stars like Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, and Rajamouli pleading with Jagan to show mercy have gone viral on social media. While someone like Chiranjeevi is pleading, Jagan did not even mind him stopping and was seen sheepishly enjoying that with a smile.

Fans are fuming at the insult meted to their favorite stars and can not digest this treatment to their demigods. A very small section of Jagan fans is celebrating their leader for showing the stars their place as they feel the industry is behind Chandrababu Naidu. For every political event, there is something called Net gain/loss.

Except for a very few incidents, there is no unanimous reaction from the public. The Government decisions will please some and will irk some. Net gain/loss is determined on the basis of the reaction of the larger section. While Jagan’s ego may have got satisfied with this humiliation to the stars, scores of fans have been hurt due to this treatment.

If that is taken into consideration, it can be considered as a massive net loss to Jagan.
