Jagan Assets Case: CBI to file counter

The case against IAS officer Y Srilakshmi is ongoing and there is some new update regarding this. As it so happens, the case is about the Dalmia cements episode of Jaganmohan Reddy assets case in whch Srilakshmi was the secretary of the (united) AP industries department. A case had been filed against her by an investigating agency alleging her facilitating the allotment of 407 hectares of limestone mines in an undue manner to Dalmia cements.

As for the update, Y Srilakshmi has challenged the case against her contending that she was acting in accordance of the law and had nothing to do with the alleged conspiracy. Moreover, she even raised question on CBI’s move saying that they had neither shown any evidence to say that the allotment is not unlawful nor had they produced any proof of her involvement in the conspiracy.

As a result the Hyderabad High Court have now directed the CBI to file its counter to the contentions raised by the IAS officer. Judge postponed the case to two weeks.
