Jagan Breathed Life into TDP?

Andhra Pradesh Government had used brute force on Telugu Desam Party’s Chalo Atmakur Rally planned on Wednesday and successfully foiled it with Preventive Arrests and House Arrests of all the leaders including Chandrababu Naidu. The Government may have been successful by not allowing Chandrababu to Palnadu but unknowingly breathed life into TDP.

TDP after the worst drubbing in the recent election needs something to boost its cadre and also to fall in the notice of the people. Chalo Atmakur served both the purposes. If the government let the rally to go on, media would have finished by giving it bare minimum coverage as every routine event of the Opposition.

But with Jagan Government using brute force and House-arresting a former Chief Minister, the entire focus of the media is on Chandrababu’s Undavalli Residence. It has garnered the attention of the National Media as well since we saw some National Journalists tweeting in favor of Chandrababu Naidu.

This iron fisting gave confidence to the TDP cadre that the party is going in the right direction and the government still fears TDP. It also sends a signal to the common man on the ground that TDP is not a millennial political party and could even move a government with 151 MLAs. Even though Chandrababu Naidu could not move out of his house, his purpose is served.
