Jagan’s Cabinet: Three In, Three Out?

The other day, at the cabinet meeting, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted at another cabinet rejig very soon. He reportedly told the Ministers, 2-3 non-performing people should make way to the newly-elected MLCs.

Sources in the YSR Congress say Chelluboina Venugopala Krishna, Daadisetty Raja, Seediri Appalaraju, and Gummanuru Jayaram are facing the axe.

Thota Trimurthulu, Kavuru Srinivas, Kola Guruvulu, and Marri Rajashekar are the favorites to enter the cabinet.

Marri sacrificed his MLA seat for Vidadala Rajini from Chilakaluripeta in 2019. Back then, he was promised an MLC seat and a cabinet berth by Jagan. But that got delayed for so long due to Caste equations.

Marri’s induction means Jagan is going to have a Kamma minister going to the election.

Currently, he has no one from the community making his cabinet the first one since the independence not to have representation from that caste.
