Jagan case: 153 acres land attached!

The Enforcement Directorate had temporarily attached 153 acres of land belonging industrialist I. Syam Prasad Reddy in the quid pro quo investments case against Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The list of attached properties – ED include 153 acres land at Mamidipally SEZ in Saroornagar mandal of Ranga Reddy District, 100 acres land belonging to SPR Properties at the same place and a residential property worth Rs. 3.11 crore of the Walden Group at Jeedimetla. According to ED, the then Rajasekhar Reddy’s government sanctioned over 250 acres land in Mamidipally SEZ violating all the norms in return of his Rs.70 crore investments in Jagan’s group companies.

In relation to the similar allegations, ED already attached properties worth 1139 Crores of Jagan Mohan Reddy. CBI and ED together filed 11 chargesheets on Jagan’s misproportionate assets. He was arrested in 2012 and had to remain in jail for 16 months only to release months before the elections.
