Ex CM and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the Court in person on Thursday. He travelled from Gannavaram to Begumpet in a special plane and then headed to the Nampally Court. The security and crowd created heavy movement around the area.
After the proceedings, Jagan left for his Lotus Pond residence. The YSRCP cadre gathered outside and held “rappa rappa” placards. Their loud display drew attention and created a brief disturbance near the court premises.
One incident stood out in political circles. Ex minister Perni Nani and three other YSRCP leaders were stopped by the police and not allowed inside the courtroom. They waited near the gate until the proceedings ended, with no access granted.
Perni Nani, known for creating noise in tense moments, stayed silent this time. He waited without argument until Jagan came out. The scene turned into political talk as leaders noticed the unusual restraint from him.
Jagan has been out on bail in the disproportionate assets case. He had not appeared in person for six years. With the case now heard every day due to the discharge petition, the CBI insisted he attend the Court directly.
The Court ordered him to appear before November 21. Jagan arrived a day earlier and informed the Court about his exact time of appearance. This step triggered political chatter, with many saying the move reflected Jagan’s ego.
