Jagan Government in Financial Deadlock?

Things are going to get tough for Jagan Mohan Reddy Government in the next couple of years. The State Government is resorting to huge financial indiscipline to fund the welfare schemes. The Government is going for around One Lakh Crore loans this year. Besides, there is an unlawful diversion of funds from various departments to PD accounts.

The Government set aside all development and infrastructure works to take up welfare schemes. Due to the fiscal indiscipline, the lending agencies are marking AP Government with low ratings and that will make loans tougher for the Government going forward.

The Government tried to sell the lands in various parts of the state to pool money in the name of Build AP. The High Court has made critical comments about this decision of the Government. “Is there a financial emergency in AP? How will the Government support its decision to sell lands?,” the High Court said.

The final hearing is likely on the 17th of this month. Going by the comments of the court, the Court may not allow the sale of lands. Things are getting tough for the Jagan Government and if this tightens the finances for various schemes two years before the elections, YSR Congress may be in a spot of bother.
