The volunteers have been appointed at village level, and the opposition parties have been crying hoarse as to how and why they are credible to gather such delicate information without any formal authority.
Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan too has been addressing the issue for the past few days, and now he has released a tweet to get people thinking and not blindly giving the information that the volunteers are seeking. Here’s his tweet:
“Everyone’s concern is the same, my dear Watson! Data privacy laws will remain the same, whether you are a CM or not. So answer these three basic questions:
Who’s the Boss of Volunteers?
Where are you storing the personal data of people in AP?
Who has authorized volunteers to collect people’s personal data when they are not government employees?”
This surely is a grave concern in Andhra Pradesh right now, and surely Pawan’s tweet is not off the mark!
Below is the old video of YS Jagan lecturing TDP about the importance of data when in opposition, shared by Pawan Kalyan on Twitter.
