Jagan Knows About Jamili, KCR Doesn’t Know?

The announcement of special parliamentary sessions from September 18 to 22 by the Modi government has caught BRS President KCR by surprise. Until now, KCR had been able to predict Modi government decisions in advance, but the announcement of parliamentary sessions in the name of Jamili Elections was unexpected.

KCR had recently announced a list of 115 candidates all at once, and now he has ordered his candidates not to start their election campaigns until the completion of the parliamentary sessions.

It’s reported that Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy had information about the possibility of Jamili Elections from the BJP government and has alerted his associates accordingly, preparing for simultaneous elections in AP and Telangana.

The decision to conduct parliamentary sessions in this manner has increased pressure on BRS candidates, who are already facing dissent within their constituencies and complaints about ticket allocation. They are concerned about the increased expenditure needed to maintain their cadre and appease leaders within the party.

Modi’s decision has also prevented the Congress from announcing its list of candidates for the Telangana elections. If the Modi government passes the bill on Jamili Elections, it may not be possible to hold the Telangana elections by January 16, 2024.

In such a scenario, questions arise about whether the Legislature will extend the term or if Governor’s rule will be imposed, posing a challenge for KCR.
