A political war of words has erupted between the YSRCP and the ruling TDP over the construction of medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has claimed that his government built 17 medical colleges during his term.
In response, the TDP released a series of videos challenging these claims. Some videos reportedly show only foundation stones, while others reveal vacant plots. The ruling party says that the medical college claims are part of another false campaign by Jagan and the YSRCP.
This controversy has led many to question what happened to the funds allocated for medical colleges. According to TDP’s social media handles, the answer is startling. They allege that Jagan diverted the funds to construct lavish YSRCP offices across 26 districts.
The TDP also shared images of the party offices allegedly built during Jagan’s tenure. They claim that ₹500 crore of public money and ₹688 crore worth of government land were misused to build these YSRCP district offices.
The allegations have further intensified the ongoing political tussle ahead of local body elections, as both parties continue to trade accusations over misuse of public funds and fake development claims.
