Jagan Orders To Stop Amaravati Works?

A report in AP 24X7 News Channel suggests that Andhra Pradesh Government is contemplating to stop the works of Permanent Assembly, High Court, and Secretariat in Amaravati for some days. Since the administration is smoothly going on in Temporary Buildings, there will be no problem if the construction is stopped.

“We can resume the works when the state finances stabilize,” AP24X7 said quoting a source in the state government. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will review all the works going on in CRDA and will take a call on which works to continue.

Even since YSR Congress stormed to Power, there are speculations of the government changing the Capital. Jagan also mentioned in various interviews that Amaravati is a huge scam and has to be investigated. He did not answer if he will change the Capital or not.

Political Experts say this may be the first step in that direction. On the other side, Land Rates in Amaravati is crashing every day and the farmers who gave their lands to the Capital are worried.
