Jagan Pales in Comparision with KCR

Coronavirus Scare gripping the entire country. The number of cases crossed 300 and alarmingly, the cases are on a rise for the past couple of days. All the state governments are on their toes trying to mitigate the crisis and reduce the danger of community-spread.

Both the Telugu states have attracted the attention of the nation in two different ways. Telangana Government is taking exemplary measures like no other state and is a model to the other states. In complete contrast, the Andhra Pradesh Government is totally disappointing even as the Ruling Party is trying to downplay the crisis for politics.

Both KCR and Jagan are known for their aversion to meet media. Even though KCR meets the press on important occasions, Jagan barely does that. But at the time of crisis, there are several misconceptions in the people and they will look to their leaders to instill confidence in them.

KCR is doing that by continuously staying in touch with the people through media and taking several proactive measures. On the other hand, we got to see Jagan the last time when he lambasted the State Election Commissioner for postponing the elections. Even his Health Minister is looking equally clueless.

Major Challenge for Jagan in such conditions is that it would remind the people of Chandrababu Naidu who is known to be a master in handling crisis management. Jagan’s poor handling of the situation and KCR’s proactiveness is showing the YSR Congress Government in poor light. Luckily for Jagan, in fact luckily for Andhra Pradesh, there is a fewer number of cases as of now and so the complacence and the inefficiency do not turn to be costly.
