YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in Kuppam today and addressed a Public meeting. In his speech, Jagan urged people to make YSR Congress candidate Bharat win in the election.
“If you make him win, I will make him a minister in my cabinet. I will keep him in my heart,” Jagan said.
Words like ‘Keeping in heart’ do not suit Jagan. We know what happened to Sharmila, his own sister.
As far as making him a minister, Jagan made a similar promise in Bhimavaram and Mangalagiri in 2019 to defeat Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh. We know what happened to Grandhi Srinivas and Alla Ramakrishna Reddy later on.
Even if we give the benefit of the doubt to Jagan, Kuppam people have their choice very easily.
If Bharat wins, they will have only a Minister. Also, that is subject to the fact that the YSR Congress should win.
If Chandrababu wins, Kuppam will be the Chief Minister’s own constituency.
Kuppam is the fortress of the Telugu Desam Party. Naidu is a seven-time MLA from the Kuppam constituency and according to surveys is poised for an eighth term in 2024.
