Jagan Said No Need Funds for Amaravati?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi the other day in the Parliament and gave the Prime Minister a letter with various demands for the State. In the list of the demands Jagan gave the Prime Minister, there is a very interesting line about the funds for the Capital.

“Amaravati is a Big Scam. Our Government has ordered an inquiry into it. We will bring out all the irregularities. So, we are not seeking funds for the Capital now. We will ask for the funds only after everything is regularized,” the letter has. This has shocked even Political Experts.

YSR Congress Government has brought all the projects in the capital to a stand-still. The recently tabled budget also had a meager allocation for Amaravati. Now, Jagan played into the hands of the Center by saying that he will not seek the funds for the Capital. Center which is already reluctant to help Andhra Pradesh will get further stubborn.

The prices of the lands have come down crashing ever since Jagan came to Power. Farmers are holding the land transactions in the hope of Jagan softening his stance on the Capital.
