Jagan’s Sankranthi Wishes Draws Flak!

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the center of controversies ever since he came to power. Besides the usual controversial decisions, even his Sankranthi wishes also came under criticism.

The Chief Minister took to Twitter to wish the people on the occasion of Sankranthi.

“మన పల్లెలు ధాన్యాగారాలుగా, ఇంగ్లిషు విద్యకు నెలవుగా, ఆరోగ్యచికిత్సలకు కేంద్రంగా, మన పిల్లలను ఉత్తమ పౌరులుగా తీర్చిదిద్దేలా విప్లవాత్మక కార్యక్రమాలు అమలవుతున్నాయి. సంక్రాంతిని అవి మరింత ద్విగుణీకృతం చేస్తాయని విశ్వసిస్తున్నాను. రాష్ట్ర ప్రజలకు, ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న తెలుగు వారందరికీ భోగి, సంక్రాంతి, కనుమ శుభాకాంక్షలు. మన @YSRCParty కుటుంబానికి నా ప్రత్యేక శుభాకాంక్షలు,” he wrote.

Wishing flourishment of English on a Telugu festival drew flak.

It is good to promote English but not like it is everything. And a Chief Minister need not tom-tom it everywhere including his wishes message for Sankranthi – Telugu Vaari Pedda Panduga.

That also does not send the right message to the people outside of Andhra Pradesh.
