Jagan Takes Up ‘Chandrababu-Like’ Risk with Three Capitals

There are always different expectations on Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. While people expect Development from Chandrababu Naidu, they expect welfare schemes from Jagan. So, till recently, Jagan and his ministers always claimed that Navaratnalu is their priority and the remaining takes a backseat.

However, things changed overnight. In the name of Decentralization, Jagan brought up the idea of the three capitals. Everyone wants the Capital in their backyard. So, there is a divided opinion about if this decision is right or not. Amaravati farmers are in panic mode for sure.

However, unless the center or the courts interfere, the three capitals idea is going to materialize. In this entire episode, Jagan had taken the risk of increasing the expectations about the capitals. A lot will be expected of him in these capitals and the Development Decentralization.

He can not just move into some old buildings or build a few new buildings and say that’s it. A lot is expected of him in the capital and that too in multiple areas. It is clear that the Central Government will not come to the rescue of the State and this only means Jagan just like Chandrababu is going to carry a lot of expectations. Chandrababu struggled to live up to those expectations for various reasons and things will be even tough for Jagan as he already has the burden of Navaratnalu.
