Former chief minister YS Jagan might have lost the previous assembly election by a staggering margin, but he is never a person who would bow down from a challenge.
Incidentally, in wake of the upcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh which are likely to come up in September, Jagan had a serious warning to the YCP cadres.
While interacting with the YCP leaders at the party headquarters in Tadepalli, Jagan was very serious with regard to the upcoming local body election.
“This is my serious message to our party leaders and supporters. We must fight every single seat in the upcoming local elections, and there must be no case of unanimous outcome. If there is an anonymous seat, then I’ll consider it a failure of YCP leadership.” Jagan said.
Jagan made it very clear that he will note the concerned segment incharge as a failure if any local body seat is left uncontested. This makes it clear that Jagan is going to individually note down all the outcomes in the upcoming polls.
Generally, when a party faces such a bad result in the assembly election, they tend to go easy on the local body polls. But Jagan appears to be insisting on a strong fight in the coming polls, despite the pathetic situation of the party.
But at the same time, Jagan himself is inaccessible to the larger portions of YCP lower leadership. And now, expecting the cadres to work on their own and fight for his victory is a bit tenacious in nature.
