Jagananna Smart Township Becomes Ashadam Offers Sale

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced the Jagananna Smart Township scheme saying that they will offer affordable plots to the middle-class in the towns. In the name of a scheme, this is a form of monetizing the government lands to fund the freebies.

But then, there are very few takers for these plots as the buyers are not confident about the Government’s commitment to creating the necessary infrastructure for these plots.

In some places, there are no buyers at all for some layouts worrying the Government.

To excite the buyers, the government announced a new offer to the buyers. The Government will register these plots only for 60% of the plots.

The Government will consider the rest of the 40% as a development area and will not charge registration charges for that area.

Ever since the scheme has been announced, it has become like Ashadam offers sales. The government is keeping on announcing new offers to attract buyers. But nothing worked so far. The problem is more with the government’s commitment than anything else. Hence the buyers are not very keen.
