JSP Assured Victory in Nellimarla?

The Nellimarla constituency in the united Vizianagaram district has become a focal point of political contention, especially regarding the proposed Bogapuram Airport project. Originally, the Janasena insisted on contesting in this constituency as part of its alliance with the Telugu Desam Party.

However, the situation took a turn when the ruling YSRCP government, led by Jagan, sought to monetize the Bogapuram Airport project, which resulted in seizing properties and causing distress to many residents, including Lokam Madhavi. Madhavi’s resilience in the face of adversity has propelled her into a leadership role, and she now stands as the candidate from the Janasena party with support from the TDP.

The political landscape in Bhogapuram has shifted significantly since the last election, where YSRCP leaders held sway. Now, many leaders have defected to the Janasena, and existing leaders seem to have lost their momentum. Despite Nellimarla traditionally favoring the YSRCP in the past, the current situation suggests a different outcome.

Jana Sena candidate Lokam Naga Madhavi is striving for inclusivity in her campaign efforts, while TDP Constituency In-Charge Karrothu Bangarraju is optimistic about her chances, backed by promises of future opportunities from Chandrababu Naidu.

The constituency boasts a significant population of backward classes, with a majority belonging to the Kapu community. MLA Baddukonda, also from the Kapu community, initially expressed confidence in securing their votes. However, Lokam Madhavi remains hopeful that the Kapu faction will align with the Janasena party.
