Jayadev reads Modi’s statements in Parliament

In what can be termed as gross injustice to the state and very embarrassing situation for BJP’s ally in the state, Central government once again reiterated that Andhra Pradesh do not need Special Status. TDP MP Avanthi Srinivas raised the issue in Lok Sabha today in the Zero hero, to which Union Minister of State for Finance, Jayant Sinha replied.

The Minister said Special Status issue is not included in the AP Reorganization Act and went on to read out the various amounts given to the state till date. He clearly said that there is no proposal pending with the Center about the Special Status. Given this stance, it will be politically embarrassing situation for TDP in AP.

Other TDP MP, Jaya Galla read out various statements of Venkaiah Naidu and Narendra Modi about Special Status and other issues. He asked how a Prime Minister’s promise in the parliament can be ignored. He went on to question which Finance Commission recommended Special Status to North Eastern States.
