Jayalalithaa’s Green Saree Sentiment in Life and in Death

Jayalalithaa lived her life with a fondness for green colour. She wore it to the most important events of her life and respecting the same sentiments, she was once again draped in her favourite green saree for her final journey.

Jayalilatha was dressed in green for every important event of her life from being sworn in as CM after her acquittal in the disproportionate assets case by the high court of Karnataka to being once again sworn in as CM for the sixth time after her victory in the assembly polls this year. After her acquittal in the disproportionate assets case, Jayalaithaa had made her first public appearance in green embroidered saree. Even the place where she took her oath that is the Madras University Centenary Auditorium was decorated in green.

Keeping this fondness of Amma for colour green in mind, the former Tamil Nadu chief minister was dress in a green saree with red border for her final journey..
