After the resignation of former chief Ms.Leela Samson over the clearance of controversial film ‘Messenger Of God’, the remaining Censor Board members too followed suit and resigned expressing solidarity to Ms.Samson’s decision and supporting her allegations of ‘interference’ and ‘coersion’.
Interestingly all the Censor Board members who resigned were constituted by the previous government (by then ruling party Congress). Their resignation came as a boon to BJP led government to constitute the board with members of their choice. And Jeevitha Rajasekhar’s decision to join BJP seemed to have rewarded her well. Lucky indeed!
