Jogi’s Land Scam In the Guise of Self-Correction

The lands associated with Agrigold have been unlawfully occupied by Jogi Ramesh through a series of questionable actions. By altering the survey number, he transferred the land to his son and uncle, even constructing a boundary wall around the property.

Despite complaints from the rightful owners to the police, no investigation was initiated, as Jogi Ramesh was closely connected to former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Avva Venkata Seshunarayana Rao and his relatives own land in Re Survey No. 87 in Ambapuram village of Vijayawada Rural Mandal.

As partners in the Agrigold Company, their land, totaling 2,293.05 square yards, was confiscated by the government as part of the Agrigold case. However, YSRCP leaders targeted these confiscated lands, executing a carefully crafted plan to seize them.

In 2022, the former minister’s son, Jogi Rajeev, purchased 1,074 square yards, and his grandfather, Jogi Venkateswara Rao, bought 1,086 square yards from a person named Polavarapu Muralimohan in Ambapuram, under Resurvey No. 88.

Although the documents clearly stated Resurvey No. 88, within a month, they applied for a correction, claiming the survey number had been incorrectly recorded and should have been 87. Since Jogi Ramesh was a minister at the time, officials altered the survey number without proper investigation.

The illegally acquired land was then sold to relatives of YSRCP Corporator Padigapati Chaitanya Reddy in May 2023. It appears that the ACB’s recent raid on former minister Jogi Ramesh’s residence was prompted by a revenue report exposing these irregularities.

There are allegations that Jogi Ramesh manipulated the registration department by exerting pressure, bypassing necessary revenue procedures. The police were also reportedly pressured to ignore complaints lodged by the Agrigold management.

Since the coalition government came to power, several questionable land dealings involving Jogi’s family have come to light. Four government officers have become scapegoats in the process of Jogi’s land-grabbing activities.
