Kakinada Rural: Needs Urgent Attention Of Chandrababu!

Kakinada Rural constituency has come into effect after delimitation. In three elections there after, TDP has won only once.

Pilli family is TDP’s big bet here. They contested three elections and won one. Pilli Satyanarayana contested and lost 2009 elections.

His wife, Pilli Anantha Lakshmi contested in 2014 and 2019. She won in 2014 and lost in 2019. Kurasala Kannababu won on her and became Minister in Jagan’s Cabinet.

TDP has become drastically complacent in this constituency where a YSRCP strongman is contesting. After 2019, Pilli Satyanarayana’s son was alleged to have cheated a girl in the name of love.

While it is not known if that is true, that has damaged their reputation big time. Pilli family suspects that former Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa lent support to their opposite faction on this issue and has become inactive.

They are in the party but are completely inactive. They did not even go to Chandrababu Naidu when he came to the district recently.

Naidu neither speaks to them nor replaces them with a new incharge. As a result, the party is in complete doldrums. With elections just two years to go, it’s time for the TDP Supremo to buckle up.
