Yesterday, the ED officials arrested Kavitha at her residence in Hyderabad for her involvement in money laundering in an alleged Delhi liquor scam. They raided her home and other properties. After more than four hours of interrogation, ED officials took Kavitha into custody and flew her to Delhi.

Kavitha was presented before the court earlier today. The ED officials sought 10 days custody for Kavitha. However, the court ordered for a one-week remand.

Thus, she will continue to be in ED’s custody till next Saturday. The court permitted Kavitha to meet her family members and lawyers daily, during her remand. The court also granted permission to have food delivered to Kavitha from her home.

This will escalate the ongoing troubles for KCR and KTR, while the party deals with this legal battle, as surveys report a distant third position in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
