Kavitha In Liquor Scam: Actually An Opportunity For KCR?

CBI and ED are after TRS leaders one after the other. Now, CM KCR’s daughter Kavitha has been named in the ED chargesheet in Delhi Liquor Scam.

This is a significant development and there is no reason to believe Kavitha will not be arrested in this case. But then, such a move can be politically risky for BJP.

It is true KCR is carrying some amount of anti-incumbency in the people but that is not to the extent of BJP’s liking.

Kavitha’s arrest may be counter-productive at this stage. It can bring sympathy to TRS and may help the party in elections.

Such kind of tactics may work only when anti-incumbency is peaking. TRS is not yet there.

TRS will use the plank of harassment by federal agencies and no one uses the ‘Sympathy’ plank better than KCR.

BJP should have crippled TRS by targeting important leaders of the party instead of going after Kavitha.
