Kalyanadurgam: TDP Doing A Favor To This Minister

Kalyanadurgam is one of the strong constituencies of the Telugu Desam Party since its inception. The party has won five out of the nine elections that happened here after its inception.

KV Ushashri Charan defeated TDP candidate Uma Maheswara Naidu in the 2019 election and is now a minister in the Jagan cabinet.

Sitting Hanumantaraya Chowdary did not get a ticket here due to his age and the recommendation of JC Brothers to Uma Maheswara Naidu.

Hanumantaraya Chowdary is trying to get the ticket for his son, Maruthi Chowdary in the 2024 elections. The Group politics started before the 2019 elections and were the reason for TDP’s defeat.

Nothing has changed since then. Party senior leaders, Lokesh, and even Chandrababu Naidu spoke to them but to of no use. Their group politics is the reason for the bitter defeat in the local elections as well.

Chandrababu Naidu warned both the leaders – Maruthi Chowdary and Uma Maheswara Naidu to mend their ways.

TDP cadre is urging Chandrababu to decide on the candidate and put to the group politics or 2024 will be a cakewalk for KV Ushashri Charan 2024.
