Kanna To Leave BJP?

Andhra Pradesh BJP President Kanna Lakshminarayana may have to make way for a new candidate. Sources say that the BJP Leadership is keen on appointing new Presidents for BJP State Units in the Telugu States. The official announcement will happen on or before the 19th of this month.

Former Union Minister Purandeshwari, Former Minister Manikyala Rao, and MLC Madhav are the frontrunners. In the way of BJP’s ties with Janasena, the party may opt for a non-Kapu President. That will leave Purandeshwari at an advantage since Madhav is relatively new.

However, rumors in Guntur are that Kanna is keen on getting one more term and has asked the party leadership to continue him. But he was denied. Buzz is that Kanna may switch to YSR Congress if BJP decides to change him. Kanna was about to leave BJP in 2018 but was held back after he was made the Party President.

It will be a massive embarrassment to the Saffron Party if this becomes true.
