The Telangana Rising Global Summit opened with major investment announcements from leading business figures. The event signalled strong investor confidence as corporate leaders committed large funds to the state’s infrastructure, defence and manufacturing sectors right at the start of the summit.
Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited and son of Gautam Adani, announced an investment of Rs 10,000 crore in Telangana. The group’s focus spans defence manufacturing, road infrastructure and cement production across multiple strategic projects.
The company plans to invest in a defence and aerospace park in Hyderabad over the next three years. It already supplies UAVs to the Indian Armed Forces and other defence agencies. Telangana also hosts a 48 MW plant worth Rs 2,500 crore.
Road infrastructure projects worth Rs 4,000 crore and cement investments of Rs 2,000 crore were also confirmed by the group. Karan Adani was seated on the dais alongside Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during the announcement at the summit.
Apollo Group’s Shobhana Kamineni committed Rs 1,700 crore towards hospitals and pharmaceutical units over the next two years. Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar attended as well and said Bengaluru and Hyderabad compete globally, not with each other.
