Kavitha’s Car Has 16 Over-Speeding Challans

The traffic police have revealed that the car frequently used by Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has accumulated 16 challans for over-speeding and dangerous driving. The violations highlight repeated breaches of traffic rules across multiple locations.

Each challan carries a fine of Rs 1,000, along with an additional Rs 35 as a user charge. In total, every violation amounts to Rs 1,035, levied on the Toyota Innova linked to her regular travel.

The offences were not limited to city limits alone. Over-speeding was recorded during district tours as well, with challans issued by traffic police stations in Nizamabad, Shamshabad, Karimnagar, Devanpally, Siddipet, Langer Hauz and Chevella.

Kavitha often speaks on contentious public issues, but the repeated violations have drawn attention from supporters and critics alike. Many have expressed concern that flouting speed limits puts ordinary citizens at risk, especially in mofussil areas with narrower roads than Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police regularly warn about the fatal impact of over-speeding through awareness campaigns and roadside signboards carrying messages like “Speed Thrills, But Kills.” Political analysts say public representatives, especially those with future leadership ambitions, must set an example by strictly following traffic rules.
