
Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court extended BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s judicial custody to April 23. She was arrested on March 15th by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam case.
Meanwhile, Kavitha wrote a four-page letter to the court stating that she has no connection with the liquor scam and argued that the trial had damaged her reputation.
Kavitha stated that she has been a victim of this “media trial” where her personal and political reputation has been targeted. She said all media channels displayed her mobile number, invading her privacy.
Kavitha alleged that the media is investigating more than the ED and the CBI, damaging her privacy and reputation.
She stated she didn’t commit any financial scam concerning the Delhi Liquor Policy. She added that she was the victim of the scam and has been unable to get justice for the last two years.
