Kavitha, who was suspended from the BRS and later resigned, seems to be drawing attention from politicians unhappy with their parties. She was reportedly upset about being sidelined within the BRS, prompting her exit to chart an independent political course.
Kavitha has long aspired to become Chief Minister. While she continues to express respect for her father KCR, her recent moves suggest a shift away from his political path. She is said to be planning her own political party to pursue her ambitions.
This strategy appears to be appealing to leaders dissatisfied with either the BRS or the Congress. Recently, Vishnuvardhan Reddy, who is eyeing the Jubilee Hills seat, met with Kavitha. However, he later denied discussing politics during their meeting.
Now, former MLC Amir Ali Khan has also met Kavitha. Reports suggest she may consider contesting from Jubilee Hills. Khan was earlier elected as MLC by the ruling Congress along with Kodandaram.
However, BRS challenged their nomination in the Supreme Court, leading to their disqualification. While Congress re-nominated Kodandaram, it chose Mohd Azharuddin over Khan this time. Khan’s recent two-hour meeting with Kavitha has sparked political speculation.
Political observers note that Kavitha is becoming a rallying point for disgruntled leaders. Some warn this could backfire if she continues to associate primarily with unhappy politicians.
