Kavitha And Sharmila Hitting Where It Hurts Most!

As we had reported already two of the leading politicians in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, YS Jagan and KTR respectively have been facing nemesis at the family level. While Jagan has Sharmila to contend with, KTR has found a new opponent in his sister, Kavita.

There is another correlation between Sharmila and Kavitha, as they appear to be striking their brothers where it hurts the most.

In the case of Sharmila, she first launched her party in Telangana and shifted to Andhra Pradesh. This was where she acted smart by joining the already established Congress party. In fact, this is where Jagan also started his political career. So it became easier for Sharmila to fight from a platform that was already laid.

Sharmila accumulated the Congress base and launched an unrelenting attack on her brother Jagan at a personal and political level.

If we come to Telangana, Kavitha has repeated something similar as she has grabbed the TRS name. This is a legacy name that historically belongs to KCR party and it comes at a time when KTR was also openly discussing with his supporters about the possible switch back to TRS.

Kavita has closed this door for both KCR and KTR by grabbing the TRS. She will have the luxury of using a legacy name like TRS for her political gains and this is against the wishes of BRS supporters and KTR himself who were wishing to go back to the name TRS.

Both Kavitha and Sharmila have made it a habit to strike their family members and contemporary politicians where it hurts the most. This is a clever play and in tune with the saying “everything fair and square in politics.”
