BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha was arrested in the Delhi Liquor Scam in March this year. She is currently in remand at Tihar Jail and has been denied bail by the Rouse Avenue court multiple times.
Meanwhile, Mahabubnagar Congress MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy stated that Kavitha will soon turn approver in this case.
Speaking at the CLP office earlier today, Yennam said that Kavitha’s father, KCR, is going against the ethics of the constitution, trying to prevent her from turning approver.
His statements came in as a shocker as Kavitha was constantly denying her involvement in the scandal and said that she would come out of jail as a “kadigina muthyam”.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) termed Kavitha the mastermind behind the Delhi Liquor scam, which occurred in 2021-22.
It also requested the court not to grant her bail because she can “influence” people involving in the case if she gets out of jail.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leader Manish Sisodia are also the primary accused politicians in this scandal. Both of them are currently serving their jail term at Tihar.
