KCR becomes the flag bearer of Modi’s pet scheme!

Is Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is better equipped for Swachh Bharath than any other Chief Ministers in the country? Yes at least by the plans of the Telangana government on paper. Most of the Chief Ministers in the country and also the Prime Minister himself just served lip service for the cause, but KCR had chalked out detailed plan for Swachh Hyderabad.

The entire GHMC area is being divided in to 425 units with the addition of 17 Industrial Area Local Authorities (IALAs) and eight Cantonment area units. Every one from the Governor, Chief Minister, Ministers,officials, police and army personnel will be given charge of each unit. He even invited inputs and feedback collected from citizens which would be discussed, reviewed and added in to government’s agenda if needed.

Beside the allocation of central funds to this program, the state government is also allotting its own funds proving KCR’s commitment to the cause. Interestingly, KCR did not care to join the Swachh Bharat initiative for about an year and is emerging as most active Chief Minister for it now. While some criticize it as an election stunt before the GHMC polls, Hyderabad Citizens will definitely appreciate if the cleansing of city is even done for votes.
