KCR's costly bonhomie with Ramoji Rao

Gone are the day when KCR warned to plough Ramoji Film City with One Lakh ploughs, Ramoji Rao is a dearest friend to KCR and to such an extent Telangana government had decided to give 505 acres for the media baron’s latest venture, Om City. Already proposals are ready for allotting the land spread over Abdullapur, Koheda and Surmaiguda villages in Hayatnagar mandal.

The proposed Om City will come up in about 2000 acres near RFC. The Chief Minister is yet to decide up on the price for this 505 acres. On the other side, Revenue department is in the process of identifying another 500 acres to the project.

In all probability, the government on the behalf of Ramoji Rao, will acquire the rest of the land for the project through negotiations with private pattadars. This is the biggest land allotment around Hyderabad to any private project after Telangana state is formed.
