KCR government has taken one more anti-settler step now pertaining to festivals. The government has decided to cut down Sankranthi holidays for government schools and increase the holidays of Dussehra – Bathukamma festivals to 15 days. We can see almost deserted Hyderabad during the Sankranthi holidays. KCR alleged that governments in United State have prejudice over Telangana festivals and ordered the education department to prepare curriculum of school students with respect to Telangana festivals from the next year. It is already known that Bathukamma and Bonalu are recognized as State festivals and the government will be funding for the celebration of these festivals in all the districts.
