KCR disappointed with Center on Padma Awards!

Narendra Modi led Central Government seemed to have not gave due importance to the recommendations of Telangana government in Padma Awards. Only one out of the 25 recommendations made by Telangana government is considered. Mithali Raj, women Cricketer was recommended by KCR’s government and is chosen for Padma Sri.

Few others recommended by Telangana government are given the awards but they are given directly with out considering state government’s recommendation. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took special interest on getting the prestigious awards for Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and Professor Jayashankar. KCR even wrote a direct letter separately endorsing them strongly but Center ignored both these names.

It is said that KCR mentioned about this in the cabinet meeting on Sunday night and expressed his displeasure on the Center. However he said the state government will honour both of them duly on various occasions in the state.
