KCR Drops A Big Hint About Early Elections!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be getting into an election mood. He will begin a statewide tour from June to hand over nearly one lakh 2 BHK houses that are ready.

2 BHK houses scheme was first announced in 2016-17. At a cost of 8 lakhs per house, a whopping 2,91,057 houses were planned.

But the construction got delayed due to various reasons and COVID was a death blow.

Still, a significant number of houses have been ready.

If 2 BHK houses are being distributed, it is a clear indication that elections are around the corner.

In these days of freebies politics, a huge asset cannot be distributed without a quicker redemption of the vote.

That means Telangana is likely to go for an early election very soon.

KCR has done a similar feat in his earlier term as well. The elections in Telangana are supposed to happen in December 2023. Maybe we are looking at elections this year-end.

BJP is making strides into Telangana and is getting good results in some areas.

But the party is looking weak in many areas. The idea of an early election is to ensure that there is no time for preparation and strengthening. This will hurt the saffron party big time.
