KCR’s Federal Front Aimed At Destroying Congress?

With Election Results due in a fortnight, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has set on a journey for his Federal Front. He will be starting the tour from Kerala and will be meeting Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram. This is the first time KCR is extending a hand to the Communists.

Communists have contested against TRS in the recent elections. On 13th of this month, he will be meeting MK Stalin of DMK in Chennai. KCR also spoke to Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Phone this morning and is likely to meet him and Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda before the results.

Going by the tour itinerary, it is evident that KCR is trying to meet the allies and prospective allies of the Congress Party. KCR is yet to reach out to the allies of BJP which creates doubts over his intentions. On the other side, Political Experts say that no front in the country will be successful with BJP or Congress.

On the other side, everything boils to if or not NDA is getting a majority on its own or not. Unless Congress improves drastically and both NDA and UPA getting more or less equal seats, this election is unlikely to boil down to new fronts and other calculations. Let us see how KCR’s National Ambitions will end up.
