KCR Fizzed out in Just 24 Hours!

The other day, there were media reports that Telangana CM KCR is fuming about Center imposing 12% GST on the existing Projects by the State Governments. There were intentional leaks from the CMO that the government is gearing up to legal battle if Center does not backtrack.

But then, 24 hours after that, the government softened its stand with a legal advice that a court battle may not yield much. The government silenced on the issue saying that the Center had promised to consider the issue positively.

The state government claims that this will bring a burden of 19000 Crore on the state exchequer. Telangana Government has asked for a total waiver of GST on irrigation, drinking water, housing schemes and roads. It now wants the slab to be reduced to 5%.
