KCR Govt Taking People Too Light?

Telangana Government is sounding too casual about the COVID Second Wave. The other day, the Chief Minister confirmed that there is no chance of another Lockdown and a Lockdown would impose hardships on the people and also the Government.

He further went on to say the shortage of beds in Hyderabad is due to the influx of patients from other states and has got nothing to do with the Government’s lack of preparedness. As the Chief Minister, the officials are also sounding too casual.

The state’s director of Public health, Srinivasa Rao went on to say that the positive cases could reduce in 2/3 weeks with citizens’ cooperation and ongoing containment efforts by Government. This is a very liberal estimation given the fact that the state is yet to reach the peak.

Night curfew is the only measure taken by the Government so far and its implementation is also not so serious. There are certain other restrictions that people barely know and officials rarely enforce. Furthermore, the containment efforts in the second wave are almost a joke anywhere in Telangana and especially in Hyderabad. It looks like the Government is not serious enough regarding the pandemic.
