KCR Hits Three Lotteries At A Time?

Dalit Bandhu scheme – 10 Lakh Rupees assistance to eligible Dalit family is a scheme brought to win the Huzurabad by-election. The cash-strapped government has to spend around 2100 Crore for this constituency for this scheme. But then, Election Commission has stopped the scheme due to the election code.

This decision comes as a boon to KCR. TRS is now busy with propaganda that Etela Rajender and BJP are anti-Dalit and they have stopped the scheme to hinder the development of Dalits. Before GHMC elections, TRS Government announced a 10,000 Rupees assistance to flood victims.

The Election Commission has stopped the scheme citing Code. TRS derived political benefit from the scheme and won the election. The Government never really pursued the scheme after elections. Probably, the same will happen for Dalit Bandhu. It is almost like KCR hit three lotteries at a time.

TRS will derive political benefit for announcing such a scheme, will portray BJP and Etela as Dalit Bandhu, and also need not be troubled arranging money for the scheme. In a way, the election commission has done a big favor for KCR. It is a catch22 for the BJP. In case, the central government arm-twisted the EC not to stop the scheme.

TRS Government would somehow manage to fund the scheme for Huzurabad and will still derive political benefit.
