TRS in dilemma over Warangal by-election candidate?

The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti is still in a dilemma over who will be its candidate for the upcoming Warangal by-election. The surveys by the party revealed that Congress will be a tough competitor in the election. So the party is keen on fielding a strong SC candidate.

The party first considered the daughter of Kadiyam Srihari for the election but is now looking at a popular face. Harish Rao was assigned to bring former Congress MP Vivek in to the party to make him contest the by-election. However Vivek issued a press statement that he is not changing the party.

That brings the candidate hunt of TRS to the square one. The seat fell vacant as sitting MP Kadiyam Srihari resigned to become the Deputy CM of the state. The Chief Minister has taken the election very serious as a defeat in the election will be blamed as the government failure.
