KCR kites most popular for this Sankranthi!

KCR and the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s popularity is at all time high currently after attaining the separate statehood. And for this Sankranthi season, the Pink kites with KCR photos are the most in-demand.

Dhoolpet which houses numerous shops of Kites, say the kites which feature the iconic Charminar along with KCR’s picture are most sold this festival season. The Kites carried the words ‘Jai Telangana’ have been boldly printed.

They are priced at Rs.4 in wholesale, and between Rs. 5 to 8 in retail. Even though the demand is good, the shop keepers say that the demand decreased from last year when they used to sell each kite for as high as Rs.50.
