KCR not to give Lifeline to Revanth Reddy

TDP (TS) Working President, Revanth Reddy is looking at the ongoing land acquisition controversy in proposed Mallanna Sagar Project as an opportunity to make a mark on people and revive the party. He recently sat for a two days Deeksha there and got immense response from the people. KCR is not keen on giving Revanth a lifeline.

The state government sources tells us that the project is likely to be shelved as the Chief Minister do not want public outcry and political backlash. The Chief Minister is thinking on the lines to shelve the project so that the opposition take the blame for depriving Telangana of its due water share.

However it will not be a easy decision as the project intends to give water for KTR and Harish Rao’s home constituencies. Mallanna Sagar Project is a part of Kaleswaram lift irrigation scheme, the government proposed to acquire over 16,000 acres of agriculture land in chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s home district Medak.
