KCR Okay to Irk AP But Do Not Want to Mess with TN?

Telangana Government has written a letter to Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to decrease the water allocations to Andhra Pradesh. Telangana has urged KRMB to decrease AP’s allocations from 512 TMCs to 155.4 TMCs.

Telangana has cited three reasons for this – Agriculture use decreased as 33000 acres were being diverted to Amaravati, Pattiseema, and since AP has to bear the share of water for its citizens living in Hyderabad.

Telangana had written a detailed letter about how water allocation has to be decreased at various projects of Andhra Pradesh. Incidentally, Telangana did not urge to decrease water allocation of 3.33 TMCs to Chennai City while it urged to decrease water allocation to all projects of AP
