Chargesheet on KCR? Phone Tapping Case

Political circles are buzzing over the SIT’s move in the phone tapping case. There is strong talk that a chargesheet may be filed against the accused, including former CM KCR. Sources suggest this could happen within the next two weeks.

Along with KCR, the proposed chargesheet may name KTR, Harish Rao, Santosh Rao, and other accused. The SIT is currently compiling evidence and finalising documentation. Preparations are said to be in the final stage.

The SIT chief recently held a meeting with investigating officers. There is information that a few accused could be arrested even before the chargesheet is formally filed. This has intensified political speculation.

Reports suggest that around five names will be included in the initial chargesheet. Officials are analysing phone tapping from two different angles. One involves official surveillance under the pretext of tracking Maoist links.

The second angle focuses on alleged illegal phone tapping of individuals at their homes and offices. Investigators are examining both strands in detail. Evidence is being scrutinised closely.

SIT officials are said to have gathered details related to former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao and his team. Information regarding the task force chief Radhakishan Rao is also reportedly part of the case. Evidence related to surveillance and threats has been compiled.

In the backdrop of alleged misuse of phone tapping for political and financial gains, the SIT is preparing a chargesheet. This includes ex CM KCR, former ministers KTR and Harish Rao, ex MP Santosh Rao, and two other prominent individuals.

Sources also indicate that an IAS officer is being shown as an approver in the chargesheet. The SIT reportedly gathered details related to land gobbling linked to this officer. This aspect is said to be under close examination.

Another major development is the possible inclusion of Nishanth Rao’s name. He is the son of former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao. His role is reportedly being assessed.

Although the SIT probe began two years ago, officials are now keen to act on the evidence collected so far. The coming weeks are expected to be crucial in the phone tapping case.
