KCR puts check to bogus engineering colleges!

After scrapping FAST scheme and agreeing to adopt the old Fees Reimbursement of United AP, Telangana government focused on cutting down the bogus engineering colleges breeding on the government funds. Many engineering colleges were setup with fake students registering for the courses. Fees Reimbursement is applied and colleges make merry with government funds.

Actually there are no students and no classes. In order to keep a check on these bogus colleges, government had decided to pay the fees only of those students who attend the exams. Government is planning to release a part of the fee before the exam and rest after the student attends the exams.

Also the government is being extremely strict on verifying the colleges and have already stopped admissions in many colleges which lacked basic amenities, teaching staff, laboratories etc. The verification drive is expected to go on every year now in order to ease the burden of Fees Reimbursement scheme on the state.
