Rythu Bandhu Reminds CBN’s Pasupu Kunkuma

The Election Commission of India, last night, has permitted the Telangana Government to disburse Rythu Bandhu amounts to all land-holding farmers in the state. Since it is already an old scheme, the ECI did not object to it.

Accordingly, the BRS Government had started disbursing 10,000 Rupees per acre. 7,700 Crore Rupees will be disbursed to 70 Lakh farmers across the state.

The only condition is the disbursement should not happen after the 28th evening to the polling day (30th). So, the Government should finish the disbursement before that.

Money in the bank at the last minute will give an advantage to the BRS, Political Experts believe.

This last-minute permission reminds us of Chandrababu Naidu’s Pasupu Kunkuma scheme in 2019.

Back then, Chandrababu Naidu gave 10,000 Rupees to every DWACRA woman in the state. The EC gave permission for the disbursement at the last minute.

Even then, Political Experts believed that it would help TDP big time in the elections.

But it did not happen. Let us see what happens to KCR in this election!
